In part two of this tutorial, I’ll show you how to crochet the border. There are seven rounds in total – 3 rounds of double crochet and 4 rounds of a very pretty stacked shell stitch pattern.

The finished size of this rose crochet baby blanket is 24” x 24” (61 x 61 cm) approximately.
This is an easy crochet tutorial but I would say that it is for an Advanced Beginner upwards. The following stitches are used throughout the pattern:
ch(s) – chain(s)
BPsc – Back post single crochet (a detailed demonstration of this is given in the video)
dc – double crochet
dc2tog – double crochet two together (also known as a dc decrease)
sc – single crochet
Shell – 7dc in same stitch / space
sk – skip
sl st – slip stitch
sp – space
st(s) – stitch(es)
V st – (1dc, ch2, 1dc) in same stitch / space
