Rainbow Hair Scrunchie Free Crochet Pattern

DIFFICULTY

MATERIALS
Makr Esther yarn;
Cornflower
Pastel lilac
DK green
Red
Vibrant yellow
Orange tiger
Sullivans elastic hair tie

EQUIPMENTS
Knit stix crochet hook size 4.00mm
Plastic yarn needle
Scissors

STEPS
1. Use red yarn to create a slip knot and place it
on the hook.
To make the slip knot, create a loop over your
hand, then feed working yarn back through
the loop and pull through.
2. Place the hook through the centre of the hair
tie with working yarn on the outside. Yarn over
and pull the yarn through to the front.
3. Yarn over and pull through both loops on
the hook.
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 around the hair tie until
there are 60 stitches.
5. Slip stich to join the first round of single crochet stitches. Cut yarn leaving about 5cm.
6. Change over yarn to orange tiger and single
crochet into all the stiches.
7. Repeat step 6 with all the yarn colours.
8. Tie off with a knot and trim.
9. Tie each yarn colours together and thread
them through the scrunchie.
